
Christiano Ronaldo’s double in the second half secured a thrilling 3-1 win against rivals Al-Hillal, this move Al-Nassr to third place in thr league standings.
The opening half of the encounter offered little in terms of clear-cut chances. With Sadio Mane and Jhon Duran had attempts blocked, while Aiman Yahya forced the first real save from Yassine Bounou in the 43rd minute.
However, the game came to life just before the break. Deep into stoppage time, Ali Al Hassan lit up the contest with a sensational curling effort from the edge of the box, finding the top corner to give Al-Nassr the lead.
Some moments into the second half, Al-Nassr doubled their advantage through Ronaldo, Mane’s incredible cutback met Ronaldo, who calmly finished with his left foot to make it 2-0.
Al-Hilal quickly responded with a powerful header that went into the back of the net through Ali Al Bulayhi, which cut the deficit to 2-1 and setting up a tense finale.
But Ronaldo came to the rescue again when Al-Hilal Nassr were awarded with a late penalty.
