Kwara State Governor and Chairman of the Nigeria Governors’ Forum (NGF), Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, has congratulated Nigeria’s para-badminton star, Mariam Eniola Bolaji, on her recent triumph at the 2025 British and Irish Para Badminton International Tournament.
Describing her victory as a remarkable global achievement, Governor AbdulRazaq praised the Kwara-born athlete for clinching the gold medal, noting that she continues to solidify her status as one of the world’s finest para athletes.
“Mariam Eniola Bolaji’s determination, resilience, and courage are truly commendable. Her story is a beacon of hope and inspiration to the younger generation, proving that with hard work and focus, no dream is too big,” the Governor said in a statement issued on Saturday.
He added that the state government had earlier named a sporting facility in her honour, reaffirming his administration’s commitment to supporting and celebrating her accomplishments.
“As she continues to soar, we remain committed to standing by her and honouring the pride she brings to Africa, Nigeria, and particularly Kwara State,” AbdulRazaq said.
The Governor urged Eniola to stay focused and ambitious, assuring her of continued support in her journey to greater heights.
