Katsina State Governor, Dikko Radda, has criticised the newly formed opposition alliance spearheaded by the African Democratic Congress (ADC), asserting that the coalition offers no new solutions for Nigeria’s challenges.

Speaking during an interview on Sunrise Daily, a Channels Television programme, Governor Radda described the coalition as a gathering of familiar political figures who, in his view, are disgruntled simply because they are no longer in power.

“Let’s be realistic and honest with ourselves—Nigerians can no longer be deceived,” Radda said, adding that the coalition lacks the integrity and innovation necessary to move the country forward.

He further argued that many of the coalition’s key figures were part of previous administrations that failed to deliver meaningful change. “Who among them wasn’t part of the last government? Who hasn’t held power before? Nigerians know their track records,” he stated. “Now they’re shouting because they’re outside the corridors of power.”

Radda also challenged the group to present a clear and realistic plan for governance. “Let them explain how they intend to run the country. Will they reinstate fuel subsidies? And if so, with what funds will they sustain it and manage the economy?” he queried.

The ADC-led coalition recently announced former Senate President David Mark as interim chairman, with former Minister of Interior Rauf Aregbesola as secretary, and Bolaji Abdullahi serving as spokesperson.
