Popular Nigerian actress Iyabo Ojo has publicly accused her colleague Liz Anjorin of being a potential threat to her and her family, following a series of troubling incidents, including a recent fire outbreak at her Lagos office and alleged death threats.
In a video posted online, Iyabo Ojo declared that Liz Anjorin should be held accountable if any harm were to come to her or her loved ones.
This came just days after a fire engulfed Ojo’s office fortunately, with no casualties reported.
Her daughter, Priscilla Ojo, also took to social media to express concern, stating that the fire was just one of several unsettling events.
She revealed that her mother had received a threatening letter in May, warning that their movements were being closely monitored.
On July 10, Iyabo Ojo addressed the situation in a lengthy Instagram post. She confirmed her daughter’s account and stated that she had been targeted by unnamed individuals attempting to harm her and her family.
“Without prejudice to the ongoing investigation, it is important to state that a few days before my daughter’s wedding in Tanzania, I received a letter threatening my life at my office. The letter explicitly stated that I would go through hell in the next three months,” she wrote.
Liz Anjorin reacts
Less than 24 hours later, Liz Anjorin took to social media to announce the withdrawal of a N1 billion lawsuit she had previously filed. In response, Iyabo released another video (now deleted) in which she reiterated her warning.
“If anything should happen to my children or me, hold Lizzy Anjorin responsible. We haven’t even started the case… that was just ADR. Case never start.”
Ojo clarified that the issue between them had not reached court but was part of an Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) process that hadn’t officially commenced.
VDM weighs in
Adding to the drama, controversial social media commentator Martins Otse, popularly known as VDM (VeryDarkMan), responded to Iyabo’s statement, calling it shocking. He suggested that he had deeper knowledge of the matter but chose to stay silent out of respect for the actress.
