Pastor Enoch Adeboye, General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), has made it clear that insults and verbal attacks do not provoke him.
Speaking during the July Holy Ghost service on Friday evening at Redemption City, Mowe in Ogun State, Pastor Adeboye shared that despite facing many criticisms, he remains calm and refuses to respond with anger.
He warned his congregation about the dangers of anger, describing it as “temporary madness” that can destroy one’s destiny.
“Anger is temporary madness. You don’t want to be mad. People might try to provoke you, but don’t fall into their trap. Getting angry is one of the easiest ways to ruin your future. Many have been waiting for me to lose my temper, but I’m focused on my purpose.”
Additionally, Pastor Adeboye recounted an incident where he declined a request from an African head of state who sought his prayers for healing after medical treatments failed.
“The head of state heard about my healing ministry and asked his pastor in the capital to invite me. I told the pastor I was too busy and couldn’t come. I even instructed him to say my schedule was fully booked for a year. Interestingly, the problem was solved the very day he arrived at this campground.”
