The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) has officially announced the schedule for the 2026 Hajj, emphasizing the importance of meeting critical deadlines for all parties involved intending pilgrims, state boards, and licensed tour operators.

According to NAHCON’s recent statement on X, adherence to these deadlines is crucial for a smooth pilgrimage process.

Key dates include the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding with Saudi Arabian authorities in November 2025, completion of camp bookings and service contracts by January 4, 2026, and the final deadline for visa issuance on March 20, 2026.

Additionally, the commission has set an October 8, 2025, deadline for states and licensed operators to remit payments and secure pilgrimage slots.

NAHCON made it clear that these timelines are non-negotiable, urging early compliance to avoid potential delays or disruptions.

As the demand for Hajj slots intensifies globally, the commission stressed that Nigeria’s participation in the 2026 Hajj hinges on strict adherence to these deadlines, given the increasingly stringent digital and logistical requirements set by Saudi Arabia.
