Nigerian singer Simisola Kosoko, popularly known as Simi, has demanded sanctions against the airport staff who recorded and circulated a viral video of passenger Comfort Emmanson being forcibly removed from an aircraft.

The incident occurred at Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos, on Sunday, August 10, after Emmanson allegedly refused to turn off her phone before takeoff on a flight from Uyo to Lagos, violating aviation rules.

According to Ibom Air, Emmanson’s noncompliance escalated into a confrontation upon landing, during which she allegedly assaulted staff. She was eventually handed over to the Nigerian Police Force.

However, a video captured during the altercation showed Emmanson being physically dragged off the plane, during which she was indecently exposed.

The unedited clip, which quickly went viral, sparked criticism over privacy violations and unprofessional conduct.

Simi, expressing her outrage on social media, questioned the ethical judgment of the person who filmed and published the footage without censoring the woman’s exposed body.

“Let’s say the lady was unruly. Someone still recorded her being exposed and posted it online for millions to see without any editing or blurring,” Simi wrote.

“Why has no one been held accountable for that? That person should face consequences too.”

While public debate has largely focused on the passenger’s behavior, Simi emphasized the need for accountability and respect for human dignity, urging authorities to address the actions of the staff responsible for the video.
