Popular TikTok influencer Habeeb Hamzat, widely known as Peller, has publicly apologized to his fans following a viral livestream that raised serious safety concerns last week.
The 20-year-old content creator broke his silence on Monday through a post on his Instagram page, asking for forgiveness and promising to adopt a more responsible lifestyle moving forward.
In his emotional message, he wrote:
“If you know I’ve offended you before, please forgive me. I promise to be on my best behavior this time. To anyone who has me in their thoughts, please forgive me. I’ll do better. God bless you all. I don’t mean most of the things I do online. I’m actually a good person in real life.”
The apology comes days after a disturbing livestream aired on Wednesday night, showing Peller in a tense confrontation with unknown individuals before the video abruptly cut off. The incident sparked widespread concern among his followers, many of whom feared for his safety.
In response to the growing panic, the Lagos State Police Command issued a statement to reassure the public. Police spokesperson Benjamin Hundeyin confirmed that Peller was unharmed and at home, with all his personal belongings intact.
“We are investigating the allegation, but we can confirm that the individual in question, Habeeb, popularly known as Peller, is safe and sound at home. His vehicle, phones, and other properties are all accounted for,” Hundeyin said in an interview with Channels Television.
He further noted that authorities were reviewing the incident to determine whether it was a genuine altercation, a prank, or a staged performance.
Peller rose to fame in 2023 with his energetic short-form videos and unpredictable livestreams. Known for pushing the boundaries of content creation, he has amassed a large following along with frequent controversy.
As he vows to reform his online behavior, many of his fans are watching closely to see whether this marks a new chapter for the influencer in Nigeria’s vibrant TikTok scene.
