Bayern Munich’s honorary president, Uli Hoeness, has revealed that the club has no intention of signing Chelsea striker Nicolas Jackson on a permanent basis.
Jackson joined the Bundesliga champions this summer on a season-long loan, with the agreement reportedly including a mandatory purchase option worth £56 million.
However, speaking to Sport1 Dopa, Hoeness explained that a key clause in the contract makes a permanent deal highly unlikely.
“The player and his agent contributed €3m, so we are paying €13.5m as the loan fee. There will definitely not be a permanent contract. That only happens if he plays 40 games as a starter, which will never happen,” Hoeness said.
The statement suggests Jackson’s long-term future remains uncertain, despite many believing his Chelsea career is already over following the loan move.
