Chairman and Founder of BUA Group, Abdul Samad Rabiu, has announced generous financial incentives for the Super Eagles following their impressive 2–0 victory over Algeria at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco.

Rabiu made the pledge on Saturday in a statement shared via his official X (formerly Twitter) account, where he congratulated the national team for their quarterfinal triumph and praised their performance.

“Congratulations to our Super Eagles players on a brilliant victory against Algeria,” he wrote. “You have lifted the spirit of the nation, and we proudly cheer you on as you prepare for the semi-finals.”

To motivate the team ahead of their semifinal showdown, Rabiu promised a cash reward of $500,000 to the players if they win the semifinal match, along with an additional $50,000 for every goal scored.

He further announced even bigger incentives should Nigeria go on to lift the AFCON trophy. According to him, a $1 million bonus awaits the team if they win the final, with an extra $100,000 for each goal scored in the decisive match.
Rabiu concluded his message by encouraging the players to remain focused and continue flying the nation’s flag with pride.

“Wishing you continued success as you carry Nigeria forward. Keep making Nigeria proud,” he added.

Nigeria booked their semifinal ticket after a commanding 2–0 win over Algeria at the Stade de Marrakech. The Super Eagles will now face tournament hosts Morocco in the semifinals on Wednesday, January 14, 2026, at 9:00 p.m., at the Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium in Rabat.
