Popular TikTok creator Habeeb Hamzat, widely known as Peller, has announced that he has gained admission to study Law at a private university in Lagos State.
The content creator shared the news in a video posted on Saturday, which quickly went viral across social media platforms.
In the clip, Peller was seen walking into a building with a statue of Lady Justice at the entrance, symbolising what he described as a new chapter in his life.
Visibly excited, Peller used the moment to respond to critics who had often mocked his educational background. Although he confirmed that the school is a private university in Lagos, he did not disclose the institution’s name.
“For a long time, people have been criticising me for not being educated, like I’m the first person who didn’t attend university,” he said. “Now everybody should leave social media because I’m in school.”
He added, “I’m studying Law now. You can see it yourself. You can’t mess with me again, I know the law.”
Over the years, the TikToker has faced persistent online criticism, with some users describing him as “uneducated” or “lousy.” Earlier this month, Peller revealed plans to return to school, explaining that he wanted to improve his spoken English and personal development.
The influencer has also been in the news recently following an incident involving American streamer IShowSpeed during his visit to Nigeria. Peller was reportedly prevented by the streamer’s security team from meeting him for a possible collaboration.
Despite making several attempts including dramatically riding a horse while calling out to the streamer, Peller was unable to get IShowSpeed’s attention.
After the incident, Peller accused members of the security team of demanding ₦1 million before granting him access to the streamer.
“Bouncer dey tell me say make I bring ₦1 million to see IShowSpeed. Imagine. Na so e dey collect money from other people,” he said in a video reacting to the encounter.
With his newly announced admission, Peller appears determined to redefine public perception and chart a new path beyond social media fame.
