The Chairman of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) in Ọsun State, Alhaji Kazeem Oyewale, popularly known as Asiri Eniba, has dismissed as false and fabricated allegations linking him to an attempted assassination of Adebayo Adeleke, son of Governor Ademola Adeleke.

Reacting to the claim, Asiri Eniba described the allegation as a concocted narrative deliberately designed to tarnish his image and justify what he termed a politically motivated attempt to harass and illegally implicate him. He maintained that the accusation is entirely untrue, unsubstantiated, and lacking any credible evidence.

He further declared his intention to institute legal action against B-Red for defamation of character, stressing that being the son of a sitting governor does not confer immunity from criminal prosecution. According to him, only the governor enjoys constitutional immunity, not members of his family.

Asiri Eniba vowed to pursue the matter to its logical conclusion in court, expressing confidence that the truth will prevail. He said he is determined to clear his name and expose what he described as purveyors of falsehood and malicious propaganda.

In a strongly worded remark, he advised B-Red to channel his energy into reviving his “failed music career rather than relying on state resources for personal survival and public showmanship.”

He reiterated that he was not involved in any such incident, noting that verifiable evidence places him elsewhere at the time of the alleged occurrence. He also called on security agencies to conduct a thorough and unbiased investigation.

Asiri Eniba urged the public to disregard the allegation entirely, describing it as a desperate and poorly executed attempt to mislead the people of Ọsun State.

In a detailed statement, he said his attention was drawn to what he described as a defamatory and concocted allegation by the Osun State Government accusing him of attempting to assassinate B-Red.

According to him, B-Red had alleged that he overheard some individuals saying he was their target, leading to a chase toward the gate of the State Government House in Okefia, Osogbo.

Asiri Eniba, however, described the account as “a bundle of lies skillfully woven together” to effect his illegal arrest for political reasons. He suggested that the allegation may be linked to political tensions ahead of the August 15, 2026 governorship election in the state.

He questioned the basis of the claim, stating that there is no dispute between him and B-Red that could warrant such an incident. He added that even in cases of conflict, matters should be reported to the police rather than handled outside the law.

Providing an alibi, he stated that he was not in Osogbo at the time of the alleged incident but was in Iragbiji attending a programme organised by the All Progressives Congress (APC). He said it defies logic for someone in Iragbiji to be accused of involvement in an incident in Osogbo.

He also pointed out that B-Red is usually accompanied by heavy security, making any alleged attack highly unlikely, especially in broad daylight. He further questioned claims about the presence of identifiable symbols, describing them as inconsistent and implausible.

Asiri Eniba maintained that there is no credible evidence that B-Red was present at the scene or went beneath the flyover as claimed. He described the allegation as a “cheap contraption” and accused unnamed political actors of spreading falsehood.

He also criticised the governor’s son, urging him to focus on his music career rather than what he described as reliance on public resources.

Reaffirming his stance, Asiri Eniba warned that B-Red’s status as the governor’s son would not shield him from legal action, insisting that he would seek redress in court.

He called on the state Commissioner of Police to investigate the allegation thoroughly and ensure that anyone found culpable is held accountable.
