The Ilobu-Asake Development Union has elected a Professor of Economics and Director of Quality Assurance at University of Lagos, Femi Muibi Saibu as the President of the Union.
Saibu was elected on Saturday at the 2026 elective annual general assembly held at Ilobu House Complex.
He succeeded Pastor Olufemi Salako, who completed his four years tenure earlier this month.
Also elected at the AGM were Musa Taofeek (Vice President 1), Taiwo Ajibola (Vice President 2) and Biodun Ologunde as National Secretary of the Union.
Others are Mr. Afolabi Akeem Adewale (1st Assistant Secretary), Mr. Abioa Kamoli (2nd Assistant Secretary), Mr. Alabi Kazeem Adeniyi (National PRO) and Mr. Tijani Taofeek Amobi (Assist PRO)
Also also are Mr. Ojo Taiwo Oseni (Financial Secretary), Alh. Arogundade Nurudeen Leke (Treasurer) Mr. Ajagbe Taliat Olatayo (Auditor 1), Mr. Odebunmi Opeyemi Muhammed (Auditor 2) and Mrs. Isola Kudirat Sijiwade (Welfare/ Social Secretary).
Speaking after the swearing in, Saibu appreciated sons and daughters of Ilobu for the trust reposed in him, pledging to work for the development of the community.
He also thanked the outgone leadership of the Union under Pastor Salako for their service to the union.
