Nigerian music stars Davido, Rema, Burna Boy, and Ayra Starr have secured spots on the official album for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, further highlighting the growing global influence of Afrobeats.
The star-studded project was unveiled by FIFA President, Gianni Infantino who described the album as a gathering of an “extraordinarily strong music squad” assembled to celebrate football’s biggest tournament.
Set to accompany the 2026 World Cup, the album features collaborations between artists from different continents, cultures and musical backgrounds, reflecting FIFA’s vision of using music and football to unite people around the world.
Rema features on the track GOALS alongside international stars LISA and Anitta, while Ayra Starr joins American rapper Latto on SHOW ME.
Davido appears on NO PLACE LIKE HOME with electronic music group Major Lazer and Canadian singer Nelly Furtado, while Burna Boy teams up with Colombian superstar Shakira on DAI DAI.
The album also boasts contributions from several globally acclaimed artists, including Future, Tyla, Stormzy, Daddy Yankee, Jessie Reyez, Shenseea and legendary rock band The Rolling Stones.
According to FIFA, the project was created under the theme “Football Unites the World,” with the aim of celebrating cultural diversity and global unity through music and sport.
The 2026 FIFA World Cup will be jointly hosted by the United States, Canada and Mexico, marking the first time three countries will stage the tournament together.
Among the standout tracks on the 18-song album are GAME TIME by Future and Tyla, BLESSINGS by Stormzy, Fridayy and Angel, and IN THE STARS (REMIX) by The Rolling Stones.
Other songs on the project include ECHO by Daddy Yankee and Shenseea, LIGHTER by Jelly Roll and Carín León, as well as LOVE ALWAYS WINS by Shaggy, Cimafunk and Zema.
The FIFA World Cup official album forms part of the organisation’s long-standing tradition of blending music and football to enhance the tournament’s global appeal.
The inclusion of four Nigerian stars on the project underscores the continued rise of Afrobeats on the international stage and reinforces Nigeria’s growing influence in global music and entertainment.
