The Oyo State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has officially unveiled its candidates for the 2027 general elections, releasing the names of its flagbearers for the governorship, National Assembly and State House of Assembly elections.
The list obtained by the Insightlinks correspondence on Thursday, names Senator Sharafadeen Abiodun Alli as the party’s governorship candidate.
For the senatorial contests, the APC nominated Senator Yunus Abiodun Akintunde for Oyo Central Senatorial District, Hon. (Engr.) Aderemi Abasi Oseni for Oyo South Senatorial District, and Mrs. Hannah Olawumi Ogunesan for Oyo North Senatorial District.
The party also announced its candidates for the 14 House of Representatives seats across the state.
Those named include Hon. Akeem Adeniyi Adeyemi (Afijio/Atiba/Oyo East/Oyo West), Hon. Wasiu Olafioye Akinmoyede (Akinyele/Lagelu), Tajudeen Kareem (Atisbo/Saki East/Saki West), Hon. Akinola Adekunle Alabi (Egbeda/Ona-Ara), Umar Faruq Alao Arisekola (Ibadan North), Ola Iyiola (Ibadan North East/Ibadan South East), Folake Olunloyo-Oshinowo (Ibadan North West/Ibadan South West), Sarafadeen Olaoniye (Ibarapa Central/Ibarapa North), Yusuf Asimiyu Osuolale (Ibarapa East/Ido), Barr. Bosun Oladele (Irepo/Olorunsogo/Orelope), Saheed Adejare Yusuf (Iseyin/Itesiwaju/Kajola/Iwajowa), Olamiju Alao-Akala (Ogbomoso North/Ogbomoso South/Orire), Olusegun Odebunmi (Ogo-Oluwa/Surulere), and Tolulope Akande Sadipe (Oluyole).
The APC also released the names of its 32 candidates for the Oyo State House of Assembly elections.
Among them are Oyewole Abiola O. (Afijio), Ajao Olugbega (Akinyele I), Owoade Tunde Jelili (Akinyele II), Ijadunola Olushina (Atiba), Olumide Yemi Bernard (Egbeda), Adeyemi Olaide (Ibadan North East I), Aderibigbe Abiodun (Ibadan North East II), Razak Adekunle G. (Ibadan North I), Adepoju Steve A. (Ibadan North II), Jimoh Tesleem B. (Ibadan North West), Hamzat Wasiu O. (Ibadan South East I), Adegoke Wariths (Ibadan South East II), Tolani Mary Adigun (Ibadan South West I), Faniyi Olayinka O. (Ibadan South West II), Ogunlade Babatunde S. (Orelope), Bamigboye Jacob A. (Orire), Ajeigbe Abiodun A. (Oyo East/Oyo West), Shittu Ibrahim (Saki West), Alliu Tajudeen Adetunji (Saki/Atisbo), and Jesutoye Olayinka I. (Surulere/Ogo-Oluwa).
The release of the comprehensive list marks a major step in the APC’s preparations for the 2027 general elections, as the party moves to consolidate its structure and intensify efforts to reclaim power in Oyo State.
Party leaders are expected to begin consultations and grassroots mobilization in support of the candidates ahead of the election season.
