Osun State has expanded its media landscape with the official launch of Agogo 107.5 FM, Osogbo, a new radio station set to deliver quality news, entertainment and programmes focused on socio-economic development across the state.
The station commenced operations with a commitment to informing, educating and entertaining its diverse audience while promoting community engagement and cultural values.
In a statement issued on Monday, the Public Relations Officer of Agogo 107.5 FM, Joseph Olayemi, said the station was established to serve as a credible voice for the people by offering informative and impactful content tailored to the needs of listeners.
According to him, every programme on the station has been carefully designed to inspire minds, promote positive values and strengthen the bond among communities.
Olayemi also noted that the establishment of the radio station would create both direct and indirect employment opportunities for media professionals, content creators, marketers and technicians in Osogbo and neighbouring communities.
“As the true Voice of Culture, we celebrate our heritage while connecting our listeners to the latest developments in society through credible news, insightful discussions, engaging music, sports coverage and enlightening educational programmes,” he said.
He added that the station, located along Fatai Akinbade Way, GRA, Osogbo, would serve as a bridge between tradition and modernity by providing a platform where ideas are exchanged, diverse voices are heard and cultural heritage is preserved.
Beyond terrestrial broadcasting, Olayemi said Agogo 107.5 FM has established a strong digital presence to enable listeners access its programmes from anywhere in the world.
“The Agogo FM experience extends far beyond the radio dial. Our audience can connect with us on YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok and Snapchat to watch exclusive content, interact with our programmes and become part of a vibrant community that values culture, knowledge and progress,” he added.
