The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has announced September 7 to 13, 2026, as the registration period for prospective corps members under the 2026 Batch C mobilisation exercise.
The scheme, in a notice issued on Friday, urged all prospective corps members to complete the necessary requirements ahead of the registration window to avoid delays in their mobilisation.
A major requirement for the exercise is obtaining clearance from the National Education Records Database (NERD), which the NYSC said is compulsory for all prospective corps members.
According to the scheme, prospective corps members must obtain their NERD Clearance Certificate before beginning the NYSC registration process.
The NYSC advised candidates to secure the clearance early, warning that failure to do so could prevent them from completing their registration for the service year.
“NERD clearance is compulsory for all PCMs,” the scheme stated.
It added, “No NERD clearance, no NYSC registration.”
The online registration exercise will commence on Monday, September 7, and end on Sunday, September 13.
The NYSC consequently urged all prospective corps members preparing for the 2026 Batch C mobilisation to obtain their NERD clearance ahead of the registration deadline and ensure they complete the registration process within the stipulated period.
