Ezekiel Onyedikachi, the CEO of EeZee Conceptz, widely known as EeZeeTee, has strongly refuted claims made by gospel singer Mercy Chinwo, accusing her of attempting to damage his record label with falsehoods and emotional manipulation. He stressed that no true child of God would try to destroy another person using lies.
In a video shared across various media platforms on Tuesday, Mercy Chinwo alleged that EeZeeTee had threatened her career and imposed servitude during her time with the label.
Responding to these accusations, EeZeeTee expressed disappointment that someone who identifies as a child of God and a gospel artist would stoop so low as to harm another person with false statements.
“It’s heartbreaking to see someone go this far to ruin someone’s credibility. You promised to destroy my reputation and my organization. Well done. When you’re done, I hope you get a crown in heaven,” EeZeeTee said in the video.
He continued, “How could we sabotage our own investment? Every time you are blessed at an event, we share in that blessing. It’s nonsensical to claim that we’re trying to sabotage you. We need to be more intelligent in the way we present these narratives. When we’re out to damage someone’s reputation, we put ourselves in a bad light, especially with those who can think critically.”
He also questioned the motives behind the accusations: “Are we really going to let bitterness and resentment rule our hearts while pretending to do ministry and serve God’s kingdom? How does it feel to think that my peace-seeking nature makes me weak?”
EeZeeTee emphasized that the real issue with Mercy Chinwo was related to their efforts to reconcile financial matters. He had made multiple attempts to address these issues through respected church leaders, but his peaceful approach was seen as a sign of weakness rather than a desire for resolution.
“For over two years, there have been many challenges behind the scenes, but I didn’t feel the need to publicly discredit any of my artists,” he explained. “Why would I want to destroy what God has helped me build? But when it became a matter of intimidation and even threats to my life, I sought help from several pastors and church leaders to resolve this peacefully.”
He named several church leaders he had consulted, including Apostle Eugene Ogwu, Bishop Humphrey Erumaka, and Bishop Mike Okonkwo. However, EeZeeTee claimed that his efforts were misinterpreted, with some suggesting that he should stop worrying about the body of Christ.
On the topic of a legal dispute, EeZeeTee clarified that he did not take the matter to court first. He revealed that his accounts had been frozen and that he was detained in Ilorin for nine days as part of the ongoing issue, which was related to financial disputes and not the music catalog itself.
When asked about refusing an audit of his dealings with Mercy Chinwo, EeZeeTee firmly stated that he had never opposed a financial audit, as long as it was conducted by a neutral, unbiased entity. “We are willing to open our books, but you need to open yours too,” he said. “Obligation is obligation.”
Responding to the accusation of bullying, EeZeeTee asserted, “Anyone who knows this person will tell you that you cannot bully a bully. This is just an attempt to assassinate my character.”
Finally, on the sensitive issue of paternity rumors, EeZeeTee expressed disbelief that Mercy Chinwo would make such an allegation. “I hope you have evidence to back up that claim,” he said. “It’s completely disappointing.”
Throughout his response, EeZeeTee maintained that the issue was not about personal conflict but about seeking truth, transparency, and resolution within the Christian community.
