The Ogun State Police Command announced on Monday night that popular music artist Habeeb Olalomi, known as Portable, is wanted in connection with an alleged violent attack on officials from the Ogun State Ministry of Physical Planning and Urban Development.
According to the police, Portable, armed with a firearm and other dangerous weapons, led a gang of nine thugs in a violent assault on the unarmed Ogun officials. The officials sustained various injuries but managed to escape and report the incident to the Ota Area Command.
Reports from Vanguard reveal that the attack occurred at Odogwu Bar during an enforcement exercise at Oke-Osa, Tigbo Ilu Ota. The government officials had reportedly encountered an elderly man, later identified as Portable’s father, before the assault unfolded.
Despite previously posting multiple videos on social media to apologize to the state government for the violent incident, Portable is now facing legal consequences.
In a statement on its official social media page, the Ogun Police Command confirmed that a court order had been obtained declaring him wanted.
“The Ogun State Police Command has obtained a valid court order declaring him wanted. The public is strongly urged to assist the Police by providing any relevant information that could lead to his immediate arrest. Anyone found aiding or harboring the suspect will face legal consequences,” the statement read.
