The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, has revealed that supplementary election will conducted in some constituencies of Rivers State on 13th of April, 2019.
In a statement made available to newsmen on Thursday by National Commissioner in charge of publicity, Mr Festus Okoye, the commission revealed that the supplementary election will be conducted in the following constituencies, Gokana, Opobo /Nkoro, Ahoada West, and Abua/Odual.
The commission also commended security agencies for making sure that the election was peaceful in the state.
Incumbent governor, Nyesom Wike who ran under the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), polled 886,264 votes to win the polls governorship.
At the end of the final collation of the governorship election results by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Wike polled 886,264 votes ahead of Biokpomabo Awara, candidate of the African Alliance Congress (AAC), who garnered 173,859 votes.
