Nigerian artist Paul Okoye, also known as RudeBoy of the music group Psquare, has accused his twin brother, Peter, of being responsible for the legal issues facing their elder brother, Jude.

During a court hearing on Friday regarding Jude’s bail application, Paul pledged to help secure Jude’s release, asserting that he is supporting him because of the truth.

“I’m standing for the truth,” Paul stated, claiming that Peter is the one causing Jude’s legal troubles and is the reason he’s been detained. “It’s Peter who is doing this. He is putting him in prison, and I’m here to bring him out.”

Jude Okoye, the former manager of P-Square, is facing charges of money laundering involving ₦1.38 billion, $1 million, and £34,537.59. He was arraigned before Justice Alexander Owoeye at the Federal High Court in Lagos, alongside his company, Northside Music Ltd, on Wednesday. He pleaded not guilty to the charges.

The prosecution, led by Larry Peters Aso, sought to have Jude remanded in custody, while his lawyer, Inibehe Effiong, filed a bail application for his release into the custody of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) pending trial.

Paul has been vocal in his support for Jude, insisting that the accusations against him also implicate both Paul and Peter, and expressing his determination to stand by his brother during the legal proceedings.
