The royal families from Oke-Ode in Kwara State have praised President Bola Tinubu for appointing Bashir Bayo Ojulari as the new Group Managing Director (GMD) of the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL), following the replacement of former GMD Mele Kyari.
In a statement, Prince Semiu Nasir Sanni, Secretary to the Olomo Oba of Oke-Ode, described Ojulari as a proven professional with a strong track record in the oil and gas sector. He said Ojulari’s wealth of experience in the private sector positions him well to bring meaningful reforms to Nigeria’s petroleum industry.
“Ojulari has consistently shown excellence in all roles he has undertaken,” Prince Sanni stated. “As a proud son of Oke-Ode, we believe his leadership will usher in positive change in the management of the nation’s oil sector.”
He expressed confidence that Ojulari would confront the long-standing challenges in the industry and contribute to stabilizing Nigeria’s economy.
“On behalf of the Olomo Oba of Oke-Ode, we wish him success in his new role and pray for his wisdom in addressing the sector’s critical issues,” he added.
