Liverpool and Portugal international Diogo Jota has tragically passed away at the age of 28 following a fatal car accident in Spain.

The crash reportedly occurred on the A-52 motorway, near kilometre 65, in the municipality of Palacios de Sanabria, Zamora Province.

According to MARCA, the Portuguese star died immediately at the scene of the accident.

Born in 1996, Jota was a vital member of both Liverpool Football Club and the Portuguese national team. News of his untimely death has sent shockwaves across the football community and beyond, with tributes pouring in from fans, teammates, and sporting institutions around the world.
