House of Representatives Member-elect, Hon Bukola Oyewo joined other elected members of National and State Assemblies in Osun State to attend a two-day seminar in Osogbo.
The event, which was organized by Elders’ Forum of the All Progressives Congress in the was held between Wednesday May 22 and Thursday, May 23 in Osogbo, the state capital, had in attendance several APC stalwarts and party faithfuls in the state.
Among the aims of the event was to ensure the newly elected members tow party lines and always remember that the interests of the people they represent and decision of the party are put above selfish agenda.
The seminar programme was tagged “The Role of Political Parties in the Sustenance of Democracy”.
The Seminar is aimed to acquaint the new lawmakers to the workings of their various legislative houses, and how to strengthen their relationships within the party and their various constituencies.
Dignitaries present includes, Ogbeni Gboyega Oyetola, Governor of the State; Mr. Benedict Alabi, Deputy Governor; Chief Bisi Akande, National Leader of the APC; Otunba Titi Laoye-Tomori, Former Deputy Governor of the State; Prince Gboyega Famoodun, APC Osun State Party Chairman; Chief Sola Akinwumi, Mr. Charles Akinola, Chief of Staff; Engr. Adelere Oriolowo, Senator-Elect; Hon. Bukola Oyewo, Member-Elect, House of Representatives, Hon. Lekan Afolabi, Member-Elect, House of Representatives, and members of the Osun State House of Assembly.
