APC reacts
The State Youth Leader of the APC, Olagoke Akinwemimo, while reacting to the arrest, condemned the action by the State government.
Akinwemimo accused Adeleke government of trying to silence the members of the opposition through arrests and intimidation.
He said, “I, on behalf of the Osun State Youths, speak against the illegal actions against our comrade from Osun State. It is highly condemnable based on fact that the Governor Adeleke led administration of the state is using some security personnel to intimidate and arrest our party men most especially those who are actively involved in the party affairs and seen as threats to the Adeleke led administration.
“Without any iota of doubt, it is even of a recent that our comrades from Boripe local government area, Iragbiji were forcefully arrested and detained by the Amotekun personnel before the Federal Government intervention that ease their release after been unjustly arrested and maltreated in their office in Osogbo the state capital.”
