A 300L student of National Open University, Lateef Folajimmy Ajibola has been elected as President of the National Association of Osun State Students (NAOSS).

Ajibola was elected on Tuesday at an election held in Osogbo, the state capital.

Chairman of the NAOSSIEC, Yusuf Adewale Bello in a statement obtained by InsightMedia in Osogbo said the election was held under a peaceful atmosphere and in compliance with provisions of the NAOSS constitution, as delegates voted massively for Ajibola.

Bello said, “The voting exercise was held as scheduled at the Osogbo City Hall, Olonkoro, Osogbo, and commenced at 10:00 a.m. The process was supervised by the National Association of Osun State Students Independent Electoral Committee (NAOSSIEC), ensuring transparency, fairness, credibility, and adherence to democratic standards.

“Eligible members of the Association actively participated in the exercise, and voting was conducted in a peaceful, orderly, and well-coordinated manner. There were no reported irregularities capable of undermining the integrity or credibility of the process.”

Also elected are Olayiwola Quadri Adeleke, Vice President I; Aluko Oluwatosin Samuel, Vice President II; Olayinka Suliyat Omobolaji, Vice President III and Ajewole Peter Oluwatosin as General Secretary.

Other are Oyenpemi Ayuba Adewale who emerged as Assistant General Secretary; Kareem Ajibola Fuhad Public was elected as Relations Officer I (P.R.O I) while Alaba Samuel Oluwagbotemi was voted Public Relations Officer II (P.R.O II).

Faniran Adeyemi Samuel and Sanusi Abdullateef Olalekan emerged as Welfare Officers 1 and II respectively.

Popoola Quadri Ayobami, Muideen Waris Gbolahan and Oni Oluwatobi Titus were declared as Financial Secretary, Social Director and Sports Director respectively.

The electoral committee congratulated the winners and urged them to embrace unity and work for betterment of students community.
