Prominent Yoruba agitator, Chief Sunday Adeyemo, aka Igboho on Monday broke down in tears while recounting his experience in prison custody at the Cotonou, Republic of Benin.
Igboho had during a thank-you visit to the Olubadan of Ibadan, Oba Rashidi Ladoja at his Bodija residence stated that he was treated like a hardened criminal before the intervention of Ladoja and other well-meaning Yoruba leaders at home and in diaspora.
According to him, “I was lodged with hardened criminals but Oba Ladoja gave me hope. His fatherly intervention saved the situation. I was relocated from the terrible place that I was initially in a conductive place.
“My encounter with Oba Ladoja has changed my perception about life. I wouldn’t have regained my freedom, if not for his intervention.
“He (Oba Ladoja) called me on Friday that he had met with President Bola Tinubu over my matter. He said the matter has been resolved that I am free to come to Nigeria.“. (Nigerian Tribune)
