The Acting Chairman of Democratic Leadership Alliance (DLA) in Osun State, Dr. Tosin Odeyemi, has said his counterpart in Action Peoples Party, Odesola Oluseyi Titus, was unfit to be called a political party chairman.

Odeyemi said Odesola’s recent outburst that he (Odeyemi) is not affiliated with any recognised political party showed his ignorance of political happenings in Nigeria and spells doom for those he is leading.

His word “How on earth can a so called party chairman said DLA that was pronounced by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) as a newly registered party in the country is not recognised?

“Let me school Odesola. DLA was registered, after satisfed every necessary legal requirement, in February and the INEC chairman, Professor Joash Amupitan, made its pronouncement.

“Then who is Odesola, a self acclaimed party chairman without any known member, to say my resignation from the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) ended my eligibility to participate in IPAC affairs?

“I won’t blame his low level of exposure, otherwise, he ought to know that it is acceptable under the constitution of Nigeria to cross-carpet from a political party to another. And we have so many examples.

“If you feel I wanted to lead at all costs, your paymasters should have allowed Osun March 14 IPAC election to hold.

“You know the caliber of Party Chairmen in Osun that believe in my course. They are not rable-rousers and can never be bought. They don’t eat crumbs and they are man enough to stand with me, any day, with their full chest.

“For emphasis sake, no Caretaker Committee composition will see the light of the day in Osun. Nobody can hijack the Council from the backdoor. What we want is a free and transparent election devoid of any external interference.”
