The English Football League has conducted the draw for the third round of the 2026/27 Carabao Cup, producing several high-profile ties involving Premier League and EFL clubs.

 

The standout fixture will see Liverpool host Tottenham Hotspur at Anfield, while Manchester United will welcome Brighton in another all-Premier League encounter.

 

The draw also handed several EFL clubs challenging assignments against top-flight opposition.

 

Championship side Norwich City will travel to holders Manchester City, while Hull City face an away trip to Sunderland.

 

Newly promoted Ipswich Town will host Arsenal, with Millwall welcoming Newcastle United in another Championship-versus-Premier League tie.

 

In an all-Midlands contest, Coventry City will host Aston Villa, while League One side Reading have been drawn at home against Brentford.

 

Bournemouth will host Lincoln City, while Leyton Orient will face Bradford City. Peterborough United will also welcome Barnsley in an all-EFL tie.

 

There is also the possibility of another all-London encounter, with West Ham United set to host either Fulham or AFC Wimbledon, depending on the outcome of their second-round fixture.

 

Meanwhile, Leeds United will travel to either Chelsea or Luton Town, with Chelsea needing to defeat Luton in their outstanding second-round tie to set up the potential Stamford Bridge meeting.

 

The third-round fixtures will be played across the weeks commencing September 7 and September 14, as EFL clubs continue their pursuit of the Carabao Cup.
