Nigerian dancer and entertainer, Poco Lee, has reportedly been released in the United Kingdom after the woman who allegedly took him to court withdrew her case, according to social media influencer Peller.
Peller made the claim during a livestream while responding to questions about Poco Lee’s reported release.
According to him, the complainant decided to discontinue the case, which he claimed subsequently paved the way for the dancer’s release.
“Yes o guys, Poco Lee is out. They talk say that girl that sue Poco Lee say the girl e run away from the case, say e leave the case. God go bless the girl, na God go bless am, is a good person,” Peller said.
He added, “The girl that make Poco Lee go to prison, the girl comot the case, UK lawyer con leave Poco Lee.”
Poco Lee had previously been reported to be on remand in a UK prison following allegations of sexual offences against him, with a plea hearing scheduled for September.
However, Peller’s claim that the complainant withdrew the case and that the development resulted in Poco Lee’s release has yet to be independently confirmed by the UK court or prosecution authorities.
Further details on the status of the case are expected to emerge.
