Galatasaray’s UEFA Champions League clash against Barcelona has become the most expensive match in Turkish football history, with ticket prices reaching $1,520.
The match, scheduled for Tuesday at the RAMS Park in Istanbul, has sold out, with the Turkish club expecting to generate approximately $5 million from ticket sales and merchandise.
According to reports, the most expensive tickets were priced at 75,000 Turkish lira, equivalent to about $1,520, while the cheapest tickets cost 2,800 lira, or approximately $57.
The high prices have not stopped supporters from securing seats for the encounter, which is expected to attract a capacity crowd at the 53,387-seat stadium.
The financial significance of the fixture extends beyond ticket sales, as Galatasaray is also expected to benefit from increased sales of club merchandise ahead of the European showdown.
The match is the second fixture for both teams in the 2026/27 UEFA Champions League league phase.
