The embattled Kogi State Deputy Governor, Mr Simon Achuba has reacted to his alleged impeachment by the Kogi State House of Assembly.

Achuba stated this in a statement in an interview on African Independent Television monitored by our correspondent Friday evening.

He said the security men have surrounded his apartment in Lokoja .

He said, “My gate has been blocked by security men from government house and no one can come in and out of the building. In short, I’m on house arrest now.

“Let me say that I’m still the authentic deputy Governor of Kogi State. The house has no power to impeach me. They have sent their allegations to the judicial panel of enquiry and the reports of the panel is that the allegations against me have not been proven.”
