The acting chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Ibrahim Magu who had an interactive session with journalists at the anti-graft agency’s headquarters in Abuja on Friday November 1, reportedly refused to answer a question on petition for an investigation over an alleged cash-laden bullion vans linked to former Governor of Lagos and All Progressives Congress Chieftain, Bola Tinubu.
Recall that on the eve of the presidential election in February, photos of two bullion vans allegedly driven into Tinubu’s Bourdillon residence in Lagos went viral on social media. The EFCC got a petition from activist Deji Adeyanju on October 5, calling for a probe of what the bullion vans were used for.
The EFCC boss who refused answering a question on the petition reportedly told a journalist “You want me to talk about a petition here? Next question, please.”
