Members of Youth Empowerment for Justice Initiatives, YEJI, Osun State chapter on Saturday held their first physical meeting to chart ways to achieve the objectives of the Organization in the state.
The meeting, held at M and K Guest House, was presided over by the state coordinator, Ajibola Onifade.
Speaking on the needs to be committed to task ahead, Onifade stated that YEJI as an organization has sole motive of improving lives of the less privileged in the society and also demand for justice for the oppressed.
He said the national body has perfected plans to send a letter requesting courtesy visit to the Governor of the state, Gboyega Oyetola to familiarize him with the agenda of the organization.
Also buttressing the points by Onifade, the state Secretary, Kolade Onaolapo called on the members to see their membership as a Clarion call to not only better the society but also an avenue to build a complete persons in themselves.
Proposed programmes for the year 2020 were highlighted while members also took turns to make contributions on the activities stated and best ways to execute each.
Earlier, members have introduced themselves and expressed in clear terms, their readiness to be part of the initiative.
