The Management of Federal University, Dutsinma (FUDMA), Katsina State, has announced the death of its Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academics), Prof. Lawal Abdu.
The announcement was contained in a statement issued on Friday by the institution’s acting Director, Public Relations and Protocol, Habibu Matazu.
Matazu said that the deputy vice-chancellor died on Friday (Aug 20) at a private hospital in Kano State.
“The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Armaya’u Bichi, announced that the burial of the late deputy vice-chancellor is scheduled for 5 pm. today (Friday) at the deceased’s family house in Katsina,” he said.
Consequently, Matazu said that all academic activities had been suspended till Aug 21. (NAN)
