It’s nine days away from the gubernatorial election in the Osun state, members of the All Progressives Congress in the State on Thursday organized a special prayer for the victory of Governor Adegboyega Oyetola in the polls.
The interdenominational prayer session was held at the IleriOluwa campaign office and had several clerics and party faithful in attendance.
The organizer of the programme, Hon. Olalekan Badmus, who is the Commissioner for Regional Integration and Special Duties said he’s a strong believer of prayer, and that was the reasons they have gathered here to jointly beseech the supreme being for His ultimate protection, success and victory for APC in the coming elections, particularly the July 16, 2022 re-election of Gov. Adegboyega Oyetola in Osun state. And he pray for massive victory for Governor Adegboyega Oyetola at the polls.
Badmus said Governor Oyetola has raised hope of several citizens through several oriented programmes despite paucity of funds, calling on Osun residents to reelect the Governor for another term.
“Gov. Oyetola has been able to transformed the state through financial re-engineering, financial discipline and more importantly budgetary discipline” he said.
Comr. Yusuf Moshood Agboola, the National President of Osun State said Gov. Oyetola is the first Governor that has engaged the student leaders in his cabinet.
According to Yussuf, ” Oyetola had done well for Osun students community. We believe if Oyetola is re-elected for second term, he will increase the number of student leaders in his cabinet.”
He also declared he’s support for Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu. “Tinubu is the father of the Nation, he has extended his fatherly love to all students” he said.
Chief Chinaka Ben the General Secretary of Ohanaeze Ndigbo said the Igbo group is ready to support Oyetola for second term and the APC Presidential candidate Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
He said “we believe in Tinubu because he has done well in Lagos State, and the Igbo also benefit from Oyetola Food support Scheme. We have declared out support for him and we believe he will not disappoint us if reelected”.
Food items were distributed to less privileged to ensure they celebrate the festive season joyously.
