One Mr Olaleye Quadri, member of Eiye confraternity has been arrested by men of the Nigeria Police Force, Osun State Command in connection with killings that followed the death of Taju Rabiu popularly known as Spanner in Osogbo sometimes in August this year.
Quadri was paraded by the Osun State Police Commissioner, Faleye Olaleye on Tuesday in Osogbo.
“He’s notorious and deadly member of Eiye confraternity and also a gang member of Rasheed Oko Ilu, the serial killer squad who has been terrorizing people of Osogbo & Ede environs”, CP Olayele said.
The Police Commissioner added that the suspect was caught during a stop and search along Islahudeen/Ayekale Road, Osogbo by the police operatives from Anti-Thuggery squad.
“The suspect and his exhibit, one locally made pistol and one expended ammunition that was recovered at his hideout at old garage, Osogbo, were handed over to the Anti-Cultism unit to continue the investigation, having been on their wanted list”, he said.
Speaking further, CP Olayele described the success as the promise he made to the people of Osun State.
“Like I have promised and vowed that, I have come to work and to make sure that crime and criminal activities are brought to its minimal ebb and bring the Osun State back to the state of peace and tranquility it is known” he concluded.
