“By God’s grace, I will open my campaign office, declare my political party and officially declare my ambition on the 28th of July, 2018”, these are the words of Hon. Mr Taofeek Olashile Adekunle, an aspirant for Osun State House of Assembly, Ede South Constituency as he was honoured at the Federation of Edeland Student Union Day Celebration, Ila College of Education Chapter.
As the guest speaker, Adekunle enjoined youth to go to their different political wards to take active interest in politics. He also appealed to the youth ensure that they obtain their permanent voters cards (PVC).
However, he was quick to tell you youth that they should not just think of voting during elections but also make themselves available to be voted for.
When he was asked about his political party, his replied, “I must tell you that our choice of a political party has not being easy. Many parties have approached us and we have also approach some parties. We have rounded off our consultation on which political party to join and put up a mechanism in place to adopt the most viable political party that will not just be good for us but also for the good people of Ede South.
“Let me assure you that the general welfare of the people is the most paramount thing and I won’t compromise that, no regardless of what party has to offer.
“Therefore, ladies and gentlemen, by the grace of God, I will open my campaign office, declare my political party and officially declare my ambition on the 28th of July 2018. I invite you all to the official declaration as we will officially begin a political movement which will be monumental and will be written on the good side of history. ”
The honouree who also doubled as the guest speaker solicited for the people’s support and promised to use diplomacy and innovations to achieve amazing results.
“This project isn’t about me but about us. I have designed an empowerment programme that will create wealth for a great number of people. I will unveil the modalities in few days to come. I thereby solicit for your support and let us make history together. I am better prepared for leadership than any of my intending opponents including the incumbent. Using diplomacy and innovations, you can be rest assured that I will achieve more than what is expected from a member of the State House of Assembly. This is what I studied and what I have been practically trained for”. He concluded.
