The Honourable representing Ijesha South Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Ajibola Famurewa has described as barbaric, inhumane and totally unacceptable the attack on some lecturers of the Osun State College of Technology, Esa Oke by hoodlums.
Famurewa, who is the senatorial candidate of the All Progressives Congress for Osun East, made this condemnation on Thursday while speaking with the newsmen in Ilesha.
He also channel his condolences to the families of those who lost their lives and expressed his optimism that the abducted ones will return safely.
He promised to work closely with the security agents and make available all the logistics to ensure that those in captivity are released safely and also forestall future occurrence of such.
He said, “I received with utmost dismay the barbaric, inhumane and totally unacceptable attack made by some gunmen on the staff of Osun State College of Technology, Esa Oke.
“Firstly, I want to condole with the families of those who lost their lives during the incident. May God bless them with fortitude to bear the loss.
“With the security reports that I receive, I believe the police are on top of the matter and those in captivity will soon regain their freedom. We will never rest on our oars”, the lawmaker said.
He also urged the public to remain calm and not taking laws into their hands as normalcy will be returned to the community and perpetrators will be brought to book.
