The newly appointed Executive Secretary of Osun Health Insurance Agency (OSHIA), Dr. Akintunde Akindele, has promised to run an open door policy that will welcome creative ideas in moving the Scheme forward.
In his inaugural speech, at his assumption of office in the Agency, Dr. Akindele enjoined the management and staff to cooperate with him in his quest to move the Agency forward
Dr Akindele, who described OSHIA as an Agency that has made a positive impact in the lives of the residents of Osun State health wise, urged the staff not to relent their efforts, but rather redouble it.
While acknowledging the contributions of the former Executive Secretary of the Establishment, Dr.Adeniyi Oginni, the new OHIS Boss admonished togetherness.
“We should all work together to keep the State Health Insurance Scheme in the forefront among other States in Nigeria”
Dr. Akindele was until his appointment a Consultant Gynaecologist, the Head of Department Obstetrics and Gynecology, UNIOSUN Teaching Hospital; The immediate past Chairman of Nigeria Medical Association (NMA) Osun State Chapter, and currently the Chairman, National Committee on Ethics and Practice.
He was the best Corps member during his NYSC year in Enugu State; A member of the Rotary Club of Nigeria; and a Philanthropist per excellence.
Earlier in his opening remarks, the Director of Programmes of the Agency, Pharm. Olasunkami Sunmonu had welcomed the new Executive Secretary, on behalf of the Chairman, Management and Staff of the Agency, pledging the staffโs readiness to cooperate with him to maintain the standard of the Scheme.
