A 50-year-old man, identified as Kehinde Ganiyu has been apprehended by the Osun State Police Command for the killing and removing of human parts for ritual.

 

According to the police PRO, SP Yemisi Opalola at the police headquarters on Friday, the suspect was arrested after series of investigations of the murder of a Ghanaian.

 

The suspected confessed that he was a friend to the deceased and sneaked into his residence and killed him.

 

“I went to the deceased’s residence with a knife where I met him sleeping because he was sick. Then I slaughtered the deceased with the kitchen knife and removed his throat. After killing him, I removed and dried the throat for three days before I took it to a bush called Igbo Imese Aiwosi Area, located at Oba-Oke village where I burnt it in a clay pot with some ritual materials and later mixed the burnt powder with soap for money ritual (OSOLE)”, he narrated.

 

He also confessed to have singlehandedly carried out the operation.

 

He also confessed that he has killed four people in the past, while adding that his clients, who do buy human parts from him, are some Internet fraudsters (Yahoo boys).

 

The police stated that investigation is still ongoing and the suspect will be charged to court at the conclusion of investigation accordingly.
