The Alolade Oyinlola College of Health Sciences and Information Technology has officially commenced academic activities with the matriculation of its pioneer students.

The matriculation was held on Thursday at the College campus in Okuku, Odo-Otin Local Government Area, Osun State.

According to the Proprietor of the College, Prince Olagunsoye Oyinlola, the institution was established to provide students with the skills and knowledge needed to excel in their chosen careers.

The former Governor of Osun State mentioned that The college comprises two main schools: the School of Health Sciences and the School of Information Technology.

The School of Health Sciences offers programs in Environmental and Community Health, Health Information, Medical Laboratory Science and Technology, among others.

The School of Information Technology offers advanced courses in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Cloud Architecture and Administration, Cybersecurity and Threat Management, and Data Science, among others.

“We are committed to providing our students with the best possible foundation for success,” Oyinlola said. “Our goal is to prepare students for meaningful careers while contributing to national development”.

“While our school of Health sciences is already operational, the school of Information and Technology is set to commence in 2025.

“We are also in the process of securing National Board for Technical Education (NBTE) accreditation for both ordinary and Higher National Diploma Programs. This will enable our graduates to participate in the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) programme”, he reiterated.

The Proprietor also commended and appreciated the Oyo State Government for sponsoring over 70 students from the state to the college.

The Chairman of the Board of Trustees, Prof. Peter A. Okebukola, congratulated the pioneer students, urging them to make the most of the opportunities available to them.

The Osun State Speaker of the House of Assembly, Hon. Adewale Egbedun commended the proprietor for investing in the educational sector of state while reiterating that it was necessary for personal growth and betterment of the society.

The event was attended by dignitaries, including the Chairman of Council, Prof. Sola Akinrinade, and representatives of the Oyo State Government and Osun State Government.
