Hon. Emmanuel Olusanya Omirin is a vibrant grassroots mobiliser who is rooted in the hearts of his people, being a former Chairman of Atakumosa East Local Government, Iperindo.

He was born on 29th of June, 1964. He had his primary education at Saint James Primary School, Olowu before proceeding to Community Modern School, Ifewara and Community Grammar School, Odogbo for his secondary education.

Sanya is also a product of The Polytechnic, Birnin Kebbi and Yaba College of Technology, Yaba Lagos where he bagged Ordinary National Diploma and Higher National Diploma res oh my godpectively. He also attended University of Ado-Ekiti (Now Ekiti State University) for his Bachelor degree. In 2005, he bagged Master of Business Administration.

Political Journey

Sanya Omirin started his political leadership in 1999 when he was appointed Secretary to Atakunmosa East local government. Upon completion of tenure, he was appointed by Prince Olagunsoye Oyinlola as Commissioner at the Local Government Service Commission. He later returned to the Council in 2008 to serve as the Chairman.

In 2014, he was appointed a federal Commissioner with the Revenue Mobilization, Allocation and Fiscal Commission, where he was the Chairman management Committee and later Chairman, Gas and Oil. He was a member of indices committee, disbursement Committee and fiscal efficiency Committee while at RMAFC.

Private Life
Sanya Omirin did not only excel in public Service, he has also recorded giant Stride ,made indelible marks and now a formidable force to be reckoned with in private business .He is the chief Executive Officer of Penny Deriik International Nigeria limited,an Oil and Gas Company. Sanya Omirin is also the Chairman /CEO of Penny Deriik Agro Allied Farms LTD.

Omirin is among the seven persons that obtained the nomination and expression of interest forms of the People’s Democratic Party for the 2022 governorship elections.
