The Vice Chairman of Osun Farmers Association, Chief Hakeem Adeniyi Adelodun has admonished every Nigerians to be religiouss tolerant as no belief is superior to another.
Chief Adelodun, who also called on Yoruba youths to appreciate their cultures and be proud of it, stated this when he stepped out with Ooni of Ife, Oba Enitan Ogunwusi Ojaja 11 for this year’s Osun Osogbo celebration.
He said Osun festival remain a unique celebration not only for Osun and Yoruba people, but for the whole world as it has secured become a Category 2 tourist attractions of the UNESCO.
The detribalized farming entrepreneur appreciated the government of Osun for declaring public holiday on Isese Day as it does not only allow worshippers to fully participate but also bring about parity among religious beliefs.
His words, “Osun Osogbo festival is so important to the history of Yoruba and across the world. We as leaders must be religious tolerant and must appreciate our cultures as it has to do with our existence.
” I want to appreciate the government of Osun for declaring today a public holiday as it has added glamour to the celebration and also bring about parity among religions”.
Chief Adelodun also celebrate with Ooni of Ife, Ataoja of Osogbo, Oba Jimoh Olanipekun Larooye and other top Yoruba monarchs over this year’s celebration.
