The city of Akure, Ondo a capital was agog on Friday as Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu SAN, returned amidst pomp and peagantry after days of absence.

The visibly happy people of the state trooped out enmass to welcome their governor who has been attending to some official assignments in Abuja, FCT.

There has been reports that the governor was suffering from ill health emanating from food, as his absence has created fears among people of the state.

While in Abuja, Governor Akeredolu received an award of the African innovative governor of the year.

He also witnessed the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with medicus International, Germany. The Governor also attended the Nigeria Governors’ Forum meeting and hosted the Southwest Governors’ Forum meeting at the state Lodge, Asokoro Abuja.

Akeredolu also attended the monthly National Economic Council Meeting, met with the new country director of the world bank, received the National Leader of the APC, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and some members of the National Working Committee of the APC.
