A video of President Buhari refusing to shake hands with Senator Remi Tinubu at the 2019 E-Nigeria International Conference, Award and Exhibition in Abuja yesterday November 28th, has surface on line and has got people talking on Twitter.
Some Nigerians queried why he did not shake her like the other male government functionaries present at the event.
Others however argued that as a Muslim, he is not expected to shake any woman. This was however countered by some Nigerians who pointed out that the President had in the past had handshakes with German Chancellor, Angela Merkel and Ex British Prime Minister, Theresa May when he met with them.
Others argue that the Minister of Communications, Isa Pantami, failed to introduce Senator Tinubu properly to President Buhari, hence his failure to shake her hands.
