Youths across three senatorial districts of Osun State have passed vote of confidence on Governor Gboyega Oyetola, stating that they are ready to work for his reelection.
The youths, who gathered at the party Secretariat in Osogbo on Thursday, said their decision is a response to the recent publication against the governor by some people.
Reading the communique after an extensive meeting where they also showed the 4 + 4 signs, Aremo Adegboyega Adelabu, the Special Adviser to Governor Oyetola said the achievements of the governor in the last twenty months has shown that he’s the best man to continue in 2022.
“We gathered here today under the umbrella of the Osun APC Youth leaders across the 68 local governments in the state from the largest political party in Africa, All Progressives Congress (APC) to unanimously and progressively set the record straight in the interest of our party and the entire state of Osun for the benefit of all.
The communique reads, “Our coming here is to inform the people that there is work to be done in the State, and the work must be done within a well defined time frame. That is why we have come to declare support for Governor Oyetola for second term. 
“Three months from this time, we will be marking the second year anniversary of the current administration. Hence, the need to intensify efforts in good time. The task ahead of us is enormous, and it is imperative for us to set out early to support the administration of Governor Adegboyega Oyetola to ensure that the gains of IleriOluwa is delivered to the State.
“Under the current leadership of our party, the All Progressive Congress is one, and there is no division whatsoever within the party. This is a call to all of us to work for the greater good of the State, and not be swayed by those whose ambitions are motivated by their personal gains.
“We must also set the record straight over the recent advertorial packaged to cause division in the state by a faceless group named Osun Network for Equity and Social Justice, clamouring for power shift to Osun West Senatorial District in 2022. The agitation by the faceless group is ridiculous, baseless, unconstitutional and illogical planed to distract the workaholic governor.
“Governor Oyetola has paid much attention to the development of the West Senatorial District, particularly in the areas of education, health, road infrastructure, political and human development.
It gladdens our hearts to inform the world that His Excellency, Alhaji Gboyega Oyetola, has magnanimously attended to, face-lifted and in some areas, built health facilities, especially PHCs across all over 100 electoral wards in Osun West District, establishment of the Federal College of Education, Iwo and the non-career Ambassador recently announced.
“We hereby declare total support for Governor Gboyega Oyetola’s administration in the state as a result of the general acceptability by the people of Osun over his numerous achievements and responses to challenges for adequate solutions.
“The entire APC youths pass a vote of confidence on the Governor, His Excellency, Mr. Gboyega Oyetola to lead Osun till 2026, for his foresight, exemplary leadership, and administrative skills.
“As one of the largest wings of the party, the youths are unwavering, solid and rooted in our loyalty to Oyetola’s leadership prowess as the State helmsman, and this will continue as long as he remains committed to the part of good governance and emulative motivational relationship with the entire Osun and most especially the Osun West Senatorial District electorates.
“While it is the legitimate right of certain people in Osun West to press for power shift, we must face the reality of the unconstitutionality of the zoning within our great party and should also be acknowledged that the governor, who is performing creditably in the district, deserves the support of the district for a second term which is currently receiving until some attention seekers hide under a faceless platform to make noise.
“Oyetola 4+4 agenda has come to stay and it shall be realizable with the help of Almighty God and the support of the people of the State of Osun. IleriOluwa for second term till 2026 is nonnegotiable.
