Pastor Tunde Kajogbola, the newly inaugurated President of the Iree Progressive Association (IPA), has emphasized the importance of unity and collaboration in achieving the association’s goals.
While giving his inaugural speech on Saturday in Iree, he outlined his administration’s agenda, which focuses on building a commonwealth of initiatives and engagements that benefit every member of the community.
“Our agenda is clear: “to build a commonwealth of initiatives and engagements that will benefit every member of our community. This is not the responsibility of one person or one executive council—it is the collective charge of all Iree sons and daughters, bound by a shared vision”, he stated.
“With humility and determination, therefore, I, Pastor Tunde Kajogbola of Ile Balogun-Gudugba, Oju-Oja, Iree, alongside the newly inaugurated IPA Executive Council, accept this enormous responsibility.
“Under the charge of this sacred trust, I pledge: To uphold the principles of integrity, accountability, and service.
*To promote unity and inclusivity, ensuring that every voice is heard and every hand contributes. To champion sustainable development, leveraging the resources of Iree for the benefit of all”, he pledged.
In an interview with our correspondent, the Outgoing President of the Association , Engr. Oluwole Taiwo explained the challenges his administration went through, while advising the new executives to work with the new Monarch of the community to fodter more growth and development in the area.
“My team and I spent six years and six months when the Town had no king making it a tough terrain especially at the initial stage.
“We were lucky because our team had the cooperation of the elders especially the Chief Imam when they had no king. We were able to achieve what we were able to achieve as a result of the cooperation of all.”
He also reiterated that his team were able to restore trust, peace within the city and with the assistance of prominent people they were able to achieve milestone during their tenure.
