Fernabache manager, Jose Mourinho has been handed with a match ban for his comments after the Istanbul derby against Galatasaray last weekend.
After the fierce derby clash in Istanbul on Sunday, Mourinho criticised the Galatasaray bench for “jumping like monkeys” after an early challenge.
The Portuguese coach also claimed the match would have been a “disaster” had a Turkish referee been selected to oversee the contest instead of Slovenian official Slavko Vincic.
Galatasaray later responded with a strong statement accusing the Fenerbahce boss of racism and threatening legal action.
According to Sky Sports, The Turkish Football Federation has took final decision to punish Mourinho with a hefty ban as the former Chelsea and Real Madrid boss will serve a two-game ban for racist comments and a further two-match suspension for offensive comments made about the fourth official.
Insight Media gathered that former Galatasaray and Chelsea forward Didier Drogba came to Mourinho’s defence amid allegations of racism as the versatile Ivory Coast legend claimed that his former manager is not a racist.
Mourinho will miss the Fernabache’s crucial upcoming league clashes against Anatalyaspor, Samsunspor, Bodrum and Trabzonspor on March 2, 16, 30 and April 2 respectively
