Prophet Ebuka Obi of Zion Prayer Movement Outreach has distanced himself from a woman who recently claimed to have purchased a ₦500 million house during a testimony in his church.

In a viral video circulating on X (formerly Twitter) on Sunday, the prophet denied any association with the woman, accusing her of lying before God and the church’s altar.

The controversy stemmed from reports that the woman’s testimony was fabricated. Prophet Obi clarified that he had no prior relationship with the woman, explaining that she was one of many individuals who come forward to share personal testimonies.

He stated, “I said it last month that my name would be all over the media. I said the media would be shaking, making it look real, but it’s all fake.”

Addressing the accusation, Obi added, “I heard from clergymen in the East that bloggers were sponsored. Do I know her? Does anyone here know her? She came to testify, just like hundreds of others who come here daily. If the house she claimed to own is fake, then it is she who lied before God and His altar—not the ministry.”
